The hand-moulded brick for a soft brown wall

The Magnolia hand-moulded brick comes from the Nuance range of Nelissen Brickworks. These hand-moulded bricks for the façade are made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley and revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel. The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides and provided with a possible oblong sloping groove on one flat side (frog, group 1).

The structure of this brick is formed by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere. The surface of the brick is pink. The colour shades exists of a soft pastel-coloured nuance of grey-yellow, pinkish-red and ochre in a certain proportion.
