An extremely beautiful brick

The Apollo has a yellow surface with mainly beige-yellow nuances.
These nuances result in an ecru-like effect with some purple-brown nuances and white limescale deposits.

This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley and revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel. The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides and provided with a possible oblong sloping groove on one flat side. The structure has a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under slightly reducing atmosphere. The typical retro structure of the brick is obtained by applying a special ageing process.
