The yellow facing brick with ochre accents
Braga is a hand-moulded facing brick of Nelissen Brickworks.
This brick has a yellow surface. The colour shades vary from yellow, beige to ochre. The sandy surface is made with the help of fine silver sand.
The non-perforated facing brick from the Pastel range is sanded on five sides and provided with a possible oblong sloping groove on one flat side (frog, group 1). The structure of the Braga is characterized by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere. The facing brick is made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley. The facing brick is revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
