A hand-moulded brick in pink nuances

The non-perforated hand-moulded Anderlecht of Nelissen Brickworks is sanded on five sides and provided with a possible oblong sloping groove on one side (frog, group 1). The brick has a beige pink surface. The colour shades vary from salmon pink to beige yellow with pink nuances. The facing brick has a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere.

The brick called Anderlecht is manufactured from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley and revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel. This hand-moulded brick is part of the Pastel range of Nelissen Brickworks.
