Belle Epoque de Marche Baekel
A facing brick with a timeless Beauty
The Belle Epoque de Marche Baekel is a hand-moulded facing brick from the Baekelsystem range of Nelissen Brickworks. This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley. The brick is revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel. The surface of these hand-moulded bricks is orange. The colour shades vary from orange to wine red combined with marl-coloured nuances. Nelissen Brickworks obtains the typically outdated view through the wet, unbaked bricks with various admixtures. The way Nelissen Brickworks lets the shaping happen in the specially designed hand-moulding equipment ensures an extremely close resemblance with real recuperated bricks, of course with the same physical characteristics as the other bricks from the extensive range. The bricks have a rough structure and an irregular shape.
The Belle Epoque de Marche Baekel is exclusively available with Nelissen Brickworks. The design of the Baekel Brick is not only efficient, but also has an eye for the timeless beauty of the brick work. That way an ancient tradition is being saved. This new brick with a groove on one side, makes it possible for the bricklayers to create different patterns by simply turning the brick with the groove on the inside or outside. That way the time consuming task of sawing and cutting the brick is no longer needed. With the Belle Epoque de Marche Baekel you give your house, garden wall, fireplace or even your living room the authentic beauty of the ancient cross bond.
